Re: Spot lights and light bars - where have you mounted yours?

Yours look great, and are on offer too!
Easiest upgrade is to change the halogen lights, it's a straight swap to Xenons.
Check the for sale section, or place a wanted advert.
I'd do that, then see if you still need additional lighting. Maybe for your off-road stuff a flood light style would be better than my long range lamps. (700+meters)

So, Santa brought a Lazer Linear 18 Elite LED bar. The first day of the year seemed like a good day for the installation. It was only -5 if one had to tune it in the cold fingers wouldn’t freeze too bad
Besides the Linear 18, I had gotten a Lazer wiring kit for two lights. I guess there are kits with only one but the store didn’t stock then (or whatever). Anyway, the other connector just stayed unused and was put out of sight.
Solution is completely road legal as the AFS-EU long beams have a reference value of 25 each and the Linear 18 is EU road approved and has a reference value of 45. That makes a total of 95/100 allowed.
The only thing that had to be removed was one of the lights, in my case the right front one (from the driver’s perspective) since one had to tap into the main beam wire before the connector. For simplicity, when the main beam is on, the LED bar is on, too.
Based on a few hours driving driving in the dark the bar is well worth the expense.
Some pictures below.

Figure out how to mount it. In the end used screws, a washer underneath and some good two component glue to make it all stable. Since the bumper wasn’t removed it wasn’t easily possible to put anything on the inside.

What I did.
Lamps mounted to sit in the grille. The actual mounts are home made clamps. The wiring and relay arrangement is standard 4 pin relay, trigger is from main beam live behind the front off side headlamp. I have a dash mounted switch to isolate the spot lamps if necessary (switched ground for the relay). HTH

Put mine in the inter cooler air intake. Went for a slimline bar so there would still be airflow. Works well and is discrete, although looking to put a couple of round spots in the grill position as well
