Hi everyone I had a lock smith come out to my discovery to replace the key as I lost it but now after he removed the fusebox from under the glove box it doesn't start up anymore I need help with if I buy a second hand bcm is there away to get it to work with my discovery if the codes match up I really need to get this sorted as I have been without a car for 5 weeks now and the rac that sent this person out won't fix it my car was running perfectly fine before hand so it's definitely something he's done to the bcm /cjb

Hi mate all plugs are in the back of it he's tried it three times and told me I can't do it you need a main dealer then left me with the car inoperable

So the module contains the imboliser key code. Probably why it doesn't start.
Do all the other electrics work ok ?
It maybe worth a punt buying an autel ap200 white from £45 and seeing if that will program your new key. Some require a working key to start with though.
As said, check the rear of the cjb with a mirror, if you can see red on any of the plugs, they are not fully in

So you put the key in all lights come up on the dash like normal but as soon as you got to crank it the imobilizer lights red won't disengage all lights work all windows 2ork just no unlock or lock or cranking
