Cracked upper glovebox inlay Disco 3 2007 LHD
I have cracks in the inlay above the upper glovebox in my Discovery 3. Is this part easy to replace and can it be ordered? Or does it need to be fixed/repaired as its is attached to the Dashboard I suppose. Thanks for your help. Images and pictures would help me al lot . Is the part identical for Left hand drive and right hand drive?
Thanks so far

Hi,
that is integral with the dash... not meant to be changed / replaced without the complete dash, i am afraidBest regards

Thanks Harold,
So I probably have to go for repair as chaninging the complete dashboard for just this part is not worth it for me at the moment. If anyone has suggestions I am happy to receive them.
Regards

i guess you can think of two options:
get second hand dash off ebay or something
or get only affected part from breakers and plastic weld it to present dash?

Thanks G,
The second suggestion is probably the quickest and easiest for now. This one I was trying to find out.
Again thanks

Hi,
The only problem I can see is the fact that it is dash off job as even plastic weld migh introduce high temps to env I would not do in situ
good luck
weird it happened in the first place

Options I think of
1 put some black flexible sealer into the cracks
I’m sure a smart repair services could get it perfect.
2. Stick some black film over it.
