I use 24volt led bulbs as the 15 volts boost from the alternator kills the 12 volt ones after a few months.
They start flashing like a strob light.
The 24volt ones I currently have are over 5 years old

Cheers Flapper, I couldn't make sense of the fact that any LED put into my RRS interior light started to flash after a few weeks, yet in my D4 they have all been OK.

24v for me from now on.

Ive got run of mill LED’s throughout my interior been in there three years now and all good, I was checking my battery and alternator yesterday and mines kicking out 15.2 which I thought was high till I done a search on here and found that’s normal.

Plus 1 @flapper Thumbs Up

Very interesting with regards to voltages , as indeed while looking through bulb after bulb yesterday many would state 12vdc , but finally found these which stated 12-18volts , whether there any good will be another sorry but reviews don’t seem half bad, plus haven’t got the metal casings

https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07DW3JB3H/ref..._item?th=1

High Brightness
● Emitted Color: White / Red / Blue / Green / Pink (Purple) / Ice Blue / Yellow
● DC 12V for replacing regular Instrument Panel / Dashboard Gaug (May Vary depending on the vehicle models)
● Long life span
● Plug and work directly
● Base :T10 194 168 #555...
●LED Qty: High Power Led (Two sides each 4 chip)
● Endurance Voltage Range: 10~18V
● LED current regulator added please do not compare our item with other low quality Made in China products
● Real Consumption Wattage @ 12.8V Approx.= 3.5W~4W

Alas couldn’t find any bulbs that were cool white that had a 12-18 Vdc range

Great regarding the info on 24vdc , to be honest didn’t realise they could be used, many thks for the heads up @flapper Bow down

Never experienced issues with 12v LED in my D3

I use these Philips X-TremeUltinon LED W5W-T10 12v rated….. they last since 2 years now.. had no problems in my Saab either….and that one was equipped with them 5 years ago and still drives with them..

Note; i try to a avoid cheap chinese stuff… On amazon and ebay a lot, i mean a lot chinese sellers disguised as “western country” seller..

If i needed cheap, I should’t drive a Land Rover
 Best regards
Harold
