D3 - IID Standard - Reading Height Sensor Live Values |
|
I have seen users able to read live values for their height sensors using the BT version of the tool.
With Engine off, ignition on, reading the live values - suspension menu I get data on:
Current Height
Current Calibration
Gallery Pressure
Exhaust Valve Percentage Open
Front Crosslink Valve Percentage Open
All 4 corner valves percentage open
…and on…
But nothing for height sensor supply voltage or return signal voltage.
Am I able to get this information with the standard IID tool, or do I need an upgrade to BT? Perhaps these aren’t given until the engine runs, but I get a sensor fault with the engine off so I suspect the sensor is being fed power and returning some type of signal.
Thanks 2008 LR3 HSE, 4.4L V8

Asked the same question to Gap Diagnostics and received a very prompt response:
“ Hello
The non BT unit is limited as to what it can contain and show. These are available on the BT only.” 2008 LR3 HSE, 4.4L V8

Ask them how much to upgrade to BT
It’s meant to be very reasonable

Good call. Already put in my upgrade order
Shame I’ll have to wait to get that data. A fault for the front right height sensor (putting me on bump stops) is unable to be cleared, but the sensor is returning live height data. EAS movement is currently locked out. Perhaps I need to calibrate the sensors. I have another thread documenting the problem:

Just updating a few things:
1) GAP exchange worked great, mailed the old one back after receiving the new, and had a refund within a couple days of GAP confirming receipt
2) DMM confirmed the wiring was good (supply power and ground good), and new GAP BT tool confirmed a bad sensor. New sensor installed and GAP BT came in handy for calibrating EAS ride height 2008 LR3 HSE, 4.4L V8
