[For Sale] Autohome / AutoCamp german roof tent
Many thanks for looking, i will try and be concise but cover off all aspects of the rooftent.
We brought it 7 years ago and have used it around 10 times since. one trip to France and then other times around the UK in the summer months, firstly on my Hilux and then on my discovery. It is the 1600mm x 2200mm Overland model so a decent size and comes with the roll down/zip down back on it.
The reason we are selling it is that it has sat in a racking for ages and we are not going to use it in the near future so i thought i would get on and let someone else make use of it. If i do get another one it will probably be one of the sold types with roof bars on the top of it.
it cost us over £2500 new!
It is a lovely tent and waterproof and comes with the foam mattress inside.
The modern version of the tent is quite different so i can't honestly say that it is the same spec but if you google autohome camper - the overland version and look at the medium sized tent you will see that it does have a lot of features.
the cover has a rip in it and could do with being replaced but i have not bothered as for the last 4 years it sits on a pallet in a warehouse racking untill we use it and that has only been in the summer
the tent itself is good - the metalwork has some light corrosion on it but it is all galvanized so we have not worried this - it has been dried out every time we have used it when it has rained
as i say it has been used and does have some markings but certainly not abused and will happily do a number of years more service. I would say though if you are going to keep it on your vehicle in all weathers when not in use then you would want to get another cover for it or if it was stored inside and you are going to use it in the summer then it is up to you.
Collection preffered or i can deliver it on a pallet
