If I swap my auto box for a recon unit, will i have to re-code the transmission module inside the new box to work on my vehicle? Can this be done with an IID tool V3?
I have been quoted 3K euros for a recon box with TC here in SW France.
Planning on doing the swap myself.

yes.
You can email GAP your VIN number ahead of time.
They can then get the file ready for you, when the new box is fitted
