Hi all
I've had issues with my disco3 getting transmission fault for a while.I took it into a local gearbox specialist with a good reputation and he pulled off codes such as p0741 and also ones for incorrect gear ratios etc. They have done a full overhaul on the gearbox, new filter, replacement refurb torque converter, oil and filter. I have had the car back a week and on the first long journey i did the fault came up again. I checked the codes and the only one related to the transmission is again p0741, all other codes gone. When the fault occurs i cannot select command shift, the revs are up a few hundred more than they should be and when i let go of the accelerator engine revs drop to idle speed. Is there anything else I can look at or do before I go back the the workshop? Just would like to be forearmed with any further info before I return

Well that wasn’t very good service.
A new TC was never going to fix that. A lot of labour £ wasted.
You need a rebuilt gearbox. ~£2500
Look at the small print and try and get a Labour reduction on future work
