Shouldn’t the Metropolitan be only available in white with an orange stripe down the side? Whistle Whistle

Can't help but think Boaty McBoatface when I read that name. Laughing

I wonder if anyone in LR read the number plate out loud as a word...absiis - abcess. Unfortunate. Laughing

Why do firms use these random letter/number combinations in advertisements?

Most often they will still read correct when viewed in a mirror (this LR example excepted)

As mentioned above the short number plates are usually numbers letter combination that will still read correctly if the image is reversed so that a single photo can be made to show the vehicle as either L/H/D or R/H/D depending on which country the ad is aimed at. Doesn`t work for rear views of the D5 however due to the offset number plate!
