There's some "Save-the-Ant, 4x4s Are the AntiChrist" campaigner on Jeremy Vine - BBC Radio 2 12:00 to 14:00 - today.
disco3.co.uk folks may like to help balance out whatever spurious twaddle is about to pour forth from their radios...

I'd suggest not getting involved, just listen in smug in the knowledge you know less biased facts. None of us are perfect, some less so than others but it doesn't help to remind them of this

Should add that rather than get involved directly offer your support to organisations such as GLASS, LARA and TRF that are 'fighting the cause' on our behalf The End

I agree - just listen - should be entertaining though, and should make us chuckle through our lunch.

I get the impression that it's the 'urban 4x4' thread which, admittedly. is a much less defensible argument. But, as you say, some chuckles during lunch!
Don't worry BN, I wasn't going to ring up as Mr. Angry or even , I fully appreciate the reasoning for keeping it professional and above board.
Happy listening!

I’m a shameful example of the urban 4x4 fraternity, but it’s paid for, it’s legal and I enjoy it so hey ho.
I used to drive a car, with 4 wheel drive, it just about managed 20mpg and would comfortably double the speed limit (and then some), but no one ever mentioned it. Now I drive a ‘car’ which is 4 wheel drive, averages 26.5mpg and I drive it really slowly with all due consideration and all I get is “Why did you buy such a big car, I bet it’s thirsty, it’s pointless and I wouldn’t want one if it was the last car in the world.†My response, “I like and, clearly, you’d love oneâ€.
The point is, there will always be someone who has a different view to yourself. If you let it worry you, they they win. A lone Disco in the land of the Cayenne.
