D3 Suspension Question

When the suspension is in the raised off road position. How often should the compressor come on? If sitting parked my pump runs for about 30 seconds every 5 mins

That's way too much!

You have a leak somewhere possibly the reservoir or one of the supply lines. As a guide, with the reservoir filled, vehicle stationery, and no inputs to the height command the compressor should not run at all!
If it does there's a leak and it tries to replenish the lost pressure.

Get it plugged in and codes read or it will soon burn out your compressor. Thumbs Up

I had a new compressor fitted today, so it seems there’s a leak as well. Which probably killed the old compressor! My mechanic did say it was a possibility. I’ve notice a quick hiss of air when I engaged high mode. It sounds like a valve opening and closing quickly as opposed to a slow leak. Any idea if that’s normal?

Its most likely a hole in one of the airbags you need to use soapy water spray to find the leak

As aja4x4 says, most likely a leak in an air bag that does not show itself until the airbag gets extended into off road height. I had exactly the same issue.

Park the car with suspensions in offroad height,
pull out fuse F35 near the battery bay
wait at least 6/8 hours.

after that check if one or more suspensions are dropped,
if a single corner drops is a leak from airbag strut or airbag airpipe
if it drops the front or the rear end the leak is inside the valve blocks
if the car drops entirely check the compressor valve block near the reservoir Thumbs Up

Isolates the self levelling function when car is parked up - will mean it will drop just at the corner(s) with a leak

I don’t seem to have an F35? Is there anywhere else it could be?

You can pull f26 too, that removes power to the suspension

That would have been easier! I needed a double jointed wrist and torch to get F35 out!
