I would really appreciate it if you guys could share with me where and how you monut your phones in the D4
I am looking to replace my broken screen mounted unit and wondering where else they can go
Screen mounted OK....but the flexible arm seemed to be very wobbly (then snapped)
Cupholder mount is set too far back to use google maps
CD mounted unit ..still use CD's so this isn't much cop
Air vent clip??...not sure
Did consider an arm that pushes into cigarette lighter
Basically what ideas have you lot come up with be they bought or even DIY
Thanks
Clive

I've bought a Ram mount and have to say I'm impressed.
The bodit looks good will do a bit of research to see how easy it is to fit.
The Ram you suggest........seems very expensive at £66

I use a Spigen phone holder which costs about £8 on amazon and I think it is great. It has a sticky pad on the bottom which does a great job. You can remove it and wash it under a tap to refresh the stickness if needed.

I'm happy with my Brodit too
Sometimes the charger would disconnect temporarily when I went over a bump. No major issue though.
Recently upgraded to magsafe so that's not a problem anymore. Also added a Brodit extension piece at the same time to lift the phone up slightly higher for better visibility.
Just need to find a way to tuck the cable away somewhere now.

Mous case and magnetic mount for me. I have the screen mount hard over to the right as I can’t stand anything in the windscreen line of sight.
Also do charging option now so I’ll be upgrading soon.
The mous cases are also tested like no other... check them out.A mod a week until I have nothing to improve or add.
Screen mounted OK....but the flexible arm seemed to be very wobbly (then snapped)
I know what you mean about the arm wobble. I have that style, but made a metal support the sits on top of the dash to remove that wobble.
Regards,
Steve

How do you find the GPS signal on the newer iPhones in the position? My iPhone X is useless there. Bought the clip but just using a bit of magnetic tape at the moment. However the navigation is unusable.

I have something similar to the above, as said, very functional and mounted on the windscreen in the space to the right between steering wheel and the pillar.
You can buy spare metal back plates for fixing to cases and so can swap phones around without worrying about size, I also ran a charging cable by cutting a very small notch next to the 12v socket and running the cables under the steering wheel and then up the door trim, very tidy and keeps it all out the way.I want to see the sweets before I get into your windowless van... I'm not stupid!
