WBAC are offering me £500 more than I paid for it, after I've stuck 15k miles on it in the last 12 months.
It's tempting to consider getting out, as that's cheap motoring, but I'm not sure anything will ever come close to filling the shoes of the D4.
Tempted to go back to abusing cheap Jeeps from eBay for a bit...

I have owned Land Rovers for years as I enjoyed modifying them and making them my own. Then Defender prices got a bit nuts and I decided I would not pay silly money for one so moved onto a Freelander 1 then a 2 then Disco Sport then Disco 4. I did think after that I would get a FFRR but prices again were a bit silly for what you get. Once I saw what that sort of money could buy from other brands I decided that was the way to go. Hopefully I have future proofed it a little by getting a petrol plug in hybrid and can benefit from the electric running as I only do a 10 mile round trip to work each day! Do I miss my D4? Some aspects of it I do like the fridge and the sound of the V6 but things mine had like the rear screens were never used, you could only watch the TV for a few minutes before the battery management shut it down , I never really went off road and I had no need to tow 3.5 T. I`ll probably be back in a LR once the 2nd hand price of a new Defender comes down a big bit. Until then I will have to content myself with my 402 BHP XC60!

Interesting to read this thread, it has just prompted me to book a sale appointment for Saturday for my Freelander 2. I've been looking at prices for a month or so, started at 2350 then went up, today's assessment is at 2610. I expect they'll knock me back a little, but I'm happy anything above 2300 on it.
I've loved the Freelander, by far the most reliable car I've ever owned although it is showing its age in a few areas now.
I'll miss it, but the sale will give be a couple of grand to spend on the D3. New injectors are being fitted this week.

Motorway quoted me £38,760 for my car and I just could not resist tham any longer.
The inspection was carried out at my home and the price was confirmed, 1 hour later the funds were in my bank account and the inspector drove her away...

How did you find Motorway? Did they chip you much? Mind you I'm assuming at the price they offered, your D4 was very low mileage!

Motorway were excellent they did not attempt to reduce the price at all, they just checked that the car was as I had told them and they contacted the dealer who paid the quoted price.
All very professional and an easy process.

Wow... good price!! Can that be right though??
Is that a confirmed assessed bid?
Try motorway, they were 2k better than WBAC for me last time around.A mod a week until I have nothing to improve or add.

Sell it whilst the going is good, these prices simply cannot last.
Of course you may need another car, and of course that will also be expensive!

That is the issue….you can sell at a good price but only any good if you don’t need to buy another…
Checked my SVR price on Autotrader and could sell it for more money than I paid for it from a dealer 18months ago! … could actually earn money from the Evoque I bought the wife two and a half years ago!
Tempting but the replacement costs are worse!

That £30,000 was only an internet price, I made an appointment to go down there, but changed my mind last minute. And I did try Motorway, they quoted £26,282 very precise
