Spotted in our local ford before Christmas, just after the recent heavy rainfall. I mean, really? ......

I wonder what motor insurance companies say when a motorist enters fords willingly which are in flood/high water level conditions?

That's a good point. The insurance companies usually expect you to take reasonable care of the insured item. I wouldn't expect a pay out if I left my keys in the car and I've had to gain specific authority to leave the windows ajar while the dogs in the car. Why should driving a car into crazy deep (or unknown deep) water be any different?2011 - 2015: 3 x FL2

Especially when the alternative safe route via the tarmac is adjacent and almost parallel, not to mention the clearly marked water depth posts!
Making assumptions of course, but reckon there may have been a element of showing off.
D5 got in too deep for comfort, then trailer with D2 on back jack-knifed during panicked reversing attempts? Not such a Disco Newbie now!

Lets hope that you get as much support and help if you were ever in trouble.
Jokes about the D5 are fine, but there is nothing funny here.

Well looking at depth marker it currently isn't that deep 2-3 feet which is well within the capability of a D5 or D3/4
