I bought my first D3 and V8 on Monday and am finding my way around. I have a question regarding the heater..... Do the V8s have a pre heater of some kind? As mine seems to blow warm air after about 30 of starting it??

They usually don’t. North American market at least had an oil [pan] heater but it required plugging in (electricity). Unless you find a petrol FBH somewhere in the engine compartment. At least DEFA and Calix made those for Nordic markets a long time ago.
On the other hand, if you get warm air from both sides in front it means your heater core isn’t full of silt...

heaters start to produce hot air at about 40 degrees engine temp which is achieved very quickly indeed compared to a noisy smelly diesel 05 D3 V8 HSE, LR Passion tree bars, wildbear compressor guard, LRP switch panel, ARB rear locker + compressor, Trigger 6 shooter electrical system

When you drive off from cold, watch the fuel gauge go down like it's been unplugged - suddenly the increase in heat to your feet is fully explained
