I visited the garage yesterday as the car was in body off mode. New turbo has been fitted as has the turbo oil feed, oil cooler is going back on soon along with an aircon condenser. The rear coolant lines are rotten so they’re coming off and the body is getting some TLC before being lowered back onto the chassis.
A lot of work going into making it good again.

I’m still annoyed that a genuine OEM Borg Warner actuator motor failed after just 17K miles, I would be keen to hear if others have had the same issue in such a short space of time. The rest of the turbo still looks fairly new!

Few more pics from the garage, the first is the underside of the body protected and lastly, she’s back together! Picking her up next week 👍

Been a while since I posted an update but the Disco has just been working well, no complaints or grumbles and has just past 215K.

This weekend it dragged at 12 1/2 ft trailer up to the lakes and over Birker Fell with a lot of house move stuff without fuss.

One Saturday over the summer I managed to win a set of HSE alloys and Mtr tyres at Matthewsons, managed to get all 7 in the car with a helpful hand from Dave Matthewson. I was very glad of this as they weigh a fair bit!

I think the brakes are probably needing refreshing as the bite is going and the rears are developing a lip and this time I think I’ll give the LOF kit a whirl.

A post wouldn’t be proper without some pics…..
