Bottom Ball Joint & Tie Rod End |
|
Following on from my previous post on replacing the bottom ball joint in-situ I now have to buy a new bottom ball joint and tie rod end - both advisories in my MOT yesterday.
I live just outside Reading and my most convenient supplier is Motor Parts Direct, who sell First Line spares. I have nothing against First Line but reviews are indifferent and MPD sell at approximately 3 times the price of other suppliers.
And then come the rest online; John Craddock, LR Parts, Paddock Spares, JGS4x4, fleaBay etc. etc.
Has anyone got any good experience of which make to buy, because the number of variants is enormous. Please don't say that I should just buy LR spares because I don't think their price is justified and we all know LR are only buying them in from suppliers who are also supplying the after market.
So anyone got strong view backed up by experience? Advice much appreciated.

Dingocroft in Wycombe can potentially advise what they've sold/returned etc. Pretty good guys up there.
I'm local if you need any help (Henley).
