Driver's footwell absolutely soaking

Hi people
My RHD driver's side carpet has always ne a little damp but after this recent rain, it was sodding wet. I realised that the section that meets the body, under the steering wheel was perished. I have ordered a new pipe as I didn't think I could repair to a good standard.
Firstly, is it easy enough to fit the new drain tube?
Secondly, do I create a new tube to exit out of the body and into the rear of the induction hole?

Finally, what is the best way to dry out the soaking wet carpet?

This amount of water has triggered little faults that weren't there before i.e the suspension light came on but there is no fault at all.

I appreciate any help and guidance on this - thank you in advance Smile

Suspension fault - will raise when cooled down?

Since all of the water in the footwell my suspension seems to have developed a problem - could this be electrical?
