Electric Steering column question
Hi All,
Does anyone know if a replacement upper steering column (the electric adjust ones) need coding to the car/ecu?
I'm just checking what i've been told.
Thanks.

The column will have a code on it which needs to be used to calibrate it to the memory module. I retrofitted mine and I supplied the code to GAP and they gave me a firmware for my IID to calibrate it. The column would not work until this was done.

Ive just bought the electric column for my 2005 D3, was the wiring there for the column? and what other bits did you need to fit it? i presume switch and lower column cowl.....

Hi
Also interested in knowing more about this.
W1LD R, did you find out if the wiring was there or not?
