My 25 year old son, clean licence, 8 years experience, 1 ‘at fault’ accident cost me £50 to add him onto my Merc’ SL350 which I thought was very reasonable

Many thks and indeed sounds very responsible
Just thought it would be extremely handy , ie, if I’m out and feel unwell or go out for the day they can drive the disco
Plus one day want to take them greenlaning , particularly my daughter that’s always wanted to drive the D3
Also good point u mentioning NCB as I must find that out from them as I assume will be in their favour
Thks again

It was cheaper to add my daughter for a year than it was to add her for a week. Something like £50 extra but at the time she was 24, think it's less now.

I've just replied to your pm Gary
markate - often the case as many insurers have a set weekly fee plus the difference in premium, often works out cheaper in the long run to add them on for the whole policy term, especially if you'd planned to add them on a couple of times in the year Howden | Specialist Vehicle Insurance

Cost me £10 to add my 17 year old as a learner, yes £10 only with Admiral (11 months before renewal)
I also have my 22 year old, who has 6 points and a previous claim, that cost me £250 with Admiral for a full year which he paid for Iggy/Ieuan

I saved £10 by adding my wife or more to the point it would cost me £10 more if I took her off It can when others can't,
It will when others won't,
It goes where others don't.

Many thanks for the replies
With everything that’s going on will sort out a quote next year and am hoping that one day can introduce my kids who are 30 and 35 to the bug of greenlaning
