NoDo$h - the images shouldn't be affected, sounds like a possible corrupt cache in your browser.
Andrew - the updates are to the core PHP and Apache software which the server runs, not to the software which DISCO3 is based on and that everyone uses, although I do have some new features coming soon
CY - I made the change to the gallery to show more of the Salisbury photos coming in from over the weekend.
TazDaz - what photos are you trying to upload, are they very large images or nothing different to what you normally put in there? 06 D3 SE / 15 LR D90 XS SW / 88 LR 90 Td5 / 68 BMW 2000 ti
Any issues with the site let me know!

Martin, I notice that if I click on a thumbnail picture in the new extended 'latest additions' section of the gallery, It displays the fullsize of the previous picture in the list.

Other people are uploading fine, as NoDo$h's picture of his images problem is in the gallery, so I know it's not
What titles/descriptions are you adding, and which of your galleries are you trying to upload to?
What file size are those photos?
Feel free to PM me. 06 D3 SE / 15 LR D90 XS SW / 88 LR 90 Td5 / 68 BMW 2000 ti

I was about to say... are you mad?
TazDaz - I've just checked the gallery and it's obviously not a problem affecting all your photos as you have managed to get some up.
This suggests to me that it's do to with some of the photos you're putting in causing a problem which would have happened even on the older server software. 06 D3 SE / 15 LR D90 XS SW / 88 LR 90 Td5 / 68 BMW 2000 ti

That sounds like the usual problem of the gallery script timing out before all the photos have been pushed the wrong way up your broadband connection, and not connected to the server software update which happened today 06 D3 SE / 15 LR D90 XS SW / 88 LR 90 Td5 / 68 BMW 2000 ti

seems to work OK if I just add one at a time
If I try two or three I get the error
I'm going to add some same size/res pics to a 'Yarwell' album next, I'll try three, then two, then one ...

An upload timeout problem shouldn't cause a database error, sounds a strange one
Let me know if one/two/three does indeed cure it. 06 D3 SE / 15 LR D90 XS SW / 88 LR 90 Td5 / 68 BMW 2000 ti

Martin, while youv'e got the gallery in bits, is there anyway you can make it unzip a zip file of photo's? it would make uploading lots of pictures a lot easier

I get the same if I try and upload two or three pics, but singly is fine. I do have a slow broadband connection, which doesn't help.
Clearing the cache has solved the other problem, as you suggested
And there is post number 4000. Anyone seen my life? I don't seem to have one. I know it's not considered "kind" to say no these days, but no. Just no, ok? And if it's not ok, still no.

I had this early this morning, so can confirm it's non-related
Could iall the gallery trouble be down to so many people uploading at the same time - seem to be a few peeps uploading pics at the moment for some reason Disco 5 HSE Lux
