Been giving some thought to some of the little giggles with my Discovery.
Have other owners noticed that if they leave their Discovery sat for a week or more the tyre can flat spot?
I believe I'm seeing this with mine as it doesn't get driven often these days. If I take it for a decent drive & get some heat in the tyres & rims the wobble at 55/65 appears to dissipate & everything settles down. I wonder if certain brands or tyre are susceptible to this? I have Pirellis all round the Discovery, I also had Pirelli run flats on a 5 series I had a few years ago. Those tyres were a nightmare for flat spots too.
Interested in your thoughts before I begin investigating further in other areas.

Not always the tyres, corrosion/surface rust on the caliper slider pins gives the same effect.

My local mechanic has told me he's had loads of customers needing new discs this year due to cars sitting still for weeks at a time.

Never had flat spots on tyres due to standing still...
My D3 was standing still on Pirelli‘s for 7 months.... no flat spots...
had a Saab standing still for 2 months, no problem either..
A Subaru Outback for a year, also no. Flat spots... although the subaru, had corroded disks ofcourse after that year... and was a little „stiff“ everywere.... vanished all after about 60lms...Best regards

The only time I have had flat spots is on cross plys on an old 1968 ex MOD Land Rover which had Nylon fibres in the case structure . Took about 5 miles to settle.

Funnily enough I used to notice that with Pirelli ATRs. After a week or more at Heathrow and going straight onto the motorway there’d be a feint wobble for the first few miles. Nothing to worry about.
If it’s a really noticeable wobble stop and check the wheelnuts!
I feel the same. I seem to get a wheel wobble or something when I’m going above 50 ish. After a while it goes. This seems to be after a week or so parked up. I have the grabber at 3s ( I think! )
This wasn't a problem with the D3 which had AT2's all round. Maybe it's something to do with the compound in Pirelli's if others have noticed similar issues.
I've also realised that when i park i use the edging stone in the tarmac as a reference to stop which often mean the tyre is sat on the edging stone. I guess this different in material under the base of the tyre for prolonged periods could cause a temporary irregularity in the tyre shape.

101 with bargrip tyres used to overnight after being used fir a ling run.
dunlops on maz again overnight can feel when I drive the first kms. I generally keep tyres in the minimum pressure which I am sure contributes. never felt on disco wranglers or coopers but maybe steamrolls them roundIt is better to have and not need it then need and not have it.
I guess parking for prolonged periods on these edging strips is to be avoided. I'll see what happens.......

All tyres go out of shape to some degree when standing it gets more pronounced over time . Its not detremental . You try and drive some of our tractors on the road when they have stood for a couple of days ,its like driving bucking bronchos
