More Suspension faults

I recently changed out the top near side rear suspension arm on my 2006 HSE whilst doing so disconnecting the height sensor, all went went or so i thought until i fired it back up, when turning on the ignition the amber warning light came up on the dash and the display reads special programs off also the compressor is not running. So i plugged in the Faultmate MSV-2 and it does not display any faults but now things have gone bad to worse as the warning light has now turned red. any ideas please

Hi

First thing I would check are the fuses , did u disconnect ur battery before starting plse , with the ign on have u got any lights on the raise / lower lever, terrain response dial area plse

Assume you’ve also had 4 x wheel alignment done as you’ve replaced the upper rear arm

May I ask plse, did u tighten the upper arm bolts when the disco was on the ground or up in the air

Hope that may help to get u started

Ps, as a side note , it’s normally best to replace suspension arms in pairs seeing u need the 4 x wheel alignment done after for the rear uppers and front lowers

Make sure you have not bent a pin in the plug of the height sensor, they are quite thin and easily bent.

Flack Thumbs Up

more suspension faults fixed

many thanks guys for all your help

took flacks advice and disconnected the plugs to check for a bent pin, everything appeared ok no bent pin. so i just cleaned the plug and socket with electroclean and reassembled and pleased to say the fault has cleared and everything is now running as it should.

so much grief but a simple fix Embarassed
