VERY nice pictures Thumbs Up if only this pesky pandemic would go away... I was planning a month long trip to UK last summer but didn’t quite make it out of the driveway for some reason Mr. Green Whistle

@kajtzu : Got another road trip tentatively in mind to your your of the world, specifically the Via Karelia and then north, just not sure if it’ll be next summer or 2022. All down to that pesky bug being sorted. That and the “oh, go on then” from SWMBO. Whistle Whistle

I’m sure we’ll welcome people from third world countries soon again. Thumbs Up

Everyone is waiting for vaccinations to commence and hope for the best. Crazy people have already started buying trips for next summer and fall from charter companies Shocked

To keep on topic, tip of Scotland is on “our” list 8)

This may be one of the reasons the locals on the route are not particularly welcoming

All too common, SeaRaider.
One of the reasons I'm giving the NW coast a wide berth this summer.
NC500 is not universally popular. Applecross (and maybe other villages) are voting to remove themselves from the NC500 route. Can't blame them.

I've just returned from working in North Uist for 10 days, passed more motorhomes than cars on the way back, great place but its gradually being spoiled by the amount of them, hard to get a photograph without one appearing in shot

Ditto on S Harris. I have to say though how the camper vans and people generally are much more respectful of the environment here than on the NC500. There seems to be more provision for camper vans here than NC500 with quite a few designated camper van areas - most of them with toilets and huge rubbish bins. I think the presence of official sites and the strong message to vans to use them has meant the remaining vans who do not use the official sites do seem to be very careful and well hidden. Also very little litter here which is great.
