535 miles today and still 120 left on the range

Had to shoot upto Anglesey to check progress on the house my next big kitchen is being fitted in so jumped in the Disco at 4.30am Shocked 3-1/2 hours and 211 miles later I was there put the builders right on there cock ups Rolling Eyes took a stroll on the private beech and set of back, only to be greeted with the news my sprayer had run out of paint for the kitchen so I set off to get the paint then shot down to see current kitchen customer in Northampton, I finally got home at 6.30 pm having covered a total of 535 miles today with the range showing 120 but I think I’ll be happy with 65 to make it a 600 mile tank not bad for a 14 year old car with 253,000 miles on the clock, days like today remind me why I love driving the Disco it just eats up the miles

Mileage done so far is real the range says 120 but I think 60 the fuel low light hasn’t come on yet so I’m confident I’ll get 600 out of this tank

Without being on the back of a transporter on the way home that is more than impressive.

Happy with 350 from mile.

I've got remapped 2.7 auto on AT tyres. I normally get at least 500 miles from a tank. I've got 600 before going up to Scotland.

Went for a long trip in a standard manual car it barely managed 400?

All standard just a non stop drive to Angelsey at 70 I’ve just driven to Devon 211 miles with six adults pulling around 600k trailer and the mpg was reading 37 I’ll wait till I get back home to see how it really works out For real

Just back from Devon filled the old girl and worked it out at 30.5mpg not bad considering 6 adults and a full trailer I’m happy with that

My high miler2007 D3 will happily give 33/4 mpg on the motorway at normal speeds. It’s had a remap though. Think that helps. It gives 24/5 mpg when it’s doing local trips. Winter generally lowers the local figure a mpg or so but that’s simply down to running rich when cold so often. I do a 1,000 mile a month commute and the D3 does probably a third of this as I use my wife’s more frugal Volvo when it’s available.
I find I can get 36/7 mpg on my commute if I really take it easy- 60 mph on the dual carriageways and the motorway but it’s more to keep the trip entertaining than for economy. Ridiculously the trip home cannot be done within 2 mpg of the trip to work. Gravity can’t be beaten. They definitely do better once you have them rolling and accelerating from a standstill kills the fuel, economy. Two and three quarter tonnes and gravity see to that.
