[For Sale] 2006/06 Discovery 3 HSE Buckingham blue £2,500
I'm going to try this on here for a week or so before I list it on eBay with no reserve!
2006/06 Discovery 3 HSE
176,500 miles
Owned by me since October 2011
Absolutely full service history in my ownership, including all fuel put into it!
Stamped service book from previous 2 owners time with it
MOT to 17th January 2021 (no advisories last time)
2019 servicing:
B service
Rear tie rods
Rear pads
washer bottle
2018 servicing:
B service
Upper rear wishbone
front pads
front disks
brake caliper
Air con compressor
Parking brake shoes
Fitted with reversing camera, screens in headrests and DVD player in glovebox via GVIF interface (old but works). Standard headrests included
Fitted with Goodyear Duratrac MTR tyres (great on and off road)
Fridge
Very well used roof bars included
Parking heater with remote control
Removeable tow bar with key
BAD BITS
Plenty of scratches and stone chips (not had any paint as far as I am aware)
Judder from torque convertor
Slight front suspension clonk
NSF door has a dent that has been pulled out, but has a ripple in the panel
Deeper scratch OSR door
Rubbed through to primer in a small patch where I tried to remove the above scratch (and then gave up)
Fuel flap won't lock
Battery a bit weak
Ashtray won't stay shut
I have tried to be completely honest about the condition. It is going to need some work to keep it on the road, but hopefully this is reflected in the price.
It's been well used for over 100,000 of my ownership. it's been on and off road, towed, ferried the kids and animals about and has got muddy. It's always been cared for and well serviced, but sadly the time has come for it to move onto a new owner.
The car is currently SORN at my home address about 5 miles from Monmouth in South Wales.
Possible part exchanges - old interesting motorbikes, old tractors, series 2 or series 3 land rovers, 101FC land rover or Green Goddess fire engine!

Would you like an IH434? I have one I was going to sell... in full working original order with a Duncan cab and front loader... Needs a good polish! I have the V5 and a matching IH tipping trailer...
Just a small problem.. I'm in Scotland!
Is it Drivable?
What needs done for the MOT do you think?
Thanks

Depending on condition a IH434 is just the sort of thing I'd gladly take in part exchange as it happens!!
The Disco drives well - it judders going up hill fairly often so you need to shift down a gear or lift off a bit to stop it. I don't want to give any assurances about the MOT..... I would certainly expect it to fail on a front suspension bush; I'm not aware of anything else, but I'm not an expert!
Pity you're in Scotland, it makes it a bit harder to sort something out, but send me some pictures of the tractor, you never know!

If not a swap I might be interested anyway.. i can fit a torque convertor (or know a man who can ↑ ) Most mechanical things are do-able here
I will try and get some photos and video later. It does need a good wash and polish. It was in the tractor shed but its living outside now as I have 3 vehicles and Husqvarna Tiller and a Burford Atom (finger mower) sitting in there now needing tlc before I sell them too.... TOO MANY projects so some have got to go...
I'm assuming its NOT a cheap tax cut-off vehicle?
Thanks

I've tried to be as honest about the condition as I can, I don't want anyone to be disappointed. You have the advantage of a good local indy, I must say my enthusiasm faded when TFC stopped working.
Not a cheap tax cut off sadly, registered July 2006.
It would be good if we could sort something out on the tractor, I love buying vehicles I really dont need!
