Restricted performance uphill
I’ve literally been reading nonstop since this started. My 2011 D4 started doing this about 3weeks ago, it only happens accelerating uphill at about 50mph on the flat I can cruise at 70+ no issues whatsoever.
Cleaned the MAF and that’s not worked. Are there any other basic checks anyone would recommend before taking it to the garage?
If anyone can recommend an independent that’s good with discos in Plymouth or near let me know.
Any help would be great.

Can't help with recommendations near Plymouth.
I would suggest you need to get the codes read, either by an indy or a kind member near you with an IID From what you are experiencing it could be a leaking inlet manifold but without the codes it's just guess work.Uncle Ray's spare wheel protector

How long into the road trip were you? - a while ago now, my new 2016 D4 went into this mode when going uphill - basically because, I think, the engine wasn't 'warmed up enough'.
Just a thought..... If I go uphill now and the engine hasn't reached 'ambient temperature' - I back off the revs...2016MY Discovery HSE - Black

Read the error codes first. On my D4 it was a rubber T piece that split near the vacuum pump so the crossover valve wasn’t operating correctly

First time it happened I was a good 3hrs into a 3.5hr trip. On the return a week later it was exactly the same, both times going up hill.
Now it’s instant the moment I accelerate up any significant incline. I’ll get the codes read and get it booked in, I’ll update on here but it’s probably going to be similar to what many others have experienced.
Been driving TD5s my whole life until 3 months ago before making the jump, now I’m dealing with this! Fun times.

So I got:
P010C mass or volume air flow B circuit low
P006A MAP Mass or volume air flow correlation
P010B mass or volume air flow B circuit range/performance
Cleared them, cleaned the MAP, cleaned the MAF for the second time. Took it for a spin, seemed fine then dropped into RP on the last hill before home.
Checked faults when home and just got P006A. There is a big old black sludge explosion on the n/s under the engine cover as well.
I’ve got a 130mi journey tonight/early tomorrow morning I literally cannot miss. Worst case if I drive what am I looking at possibility wise

Cheers man.
Just had a little dig and the n/s manifold is cracked. All down the top just under that pipe where all the oil is coming from.
Will get it booked in and replaced. Might do both at the same time if this is what i can expect from the other one. Any other jobs worth doing while I’m getting this fixed?
