I’m sure this has been discussed before due to various problems but mine is a little different to what I’ve seen before. Normally a door won’t lock or unlock..
Mine are all locking and unlocking fine, but on first press to unlock, all doors are unlocking but not the drivers door. It will unlock on the second press..
Is this normal or should the drivers unlock first, followed by the rest on second?
Any ideas?
Thanks 2005 Disco3 HSE Auto 😁

yup ... completely upside down to expectations.
have you tried a hard reset ? disconnect battery leads and short them together for ~ 30 seconds, then reconnect.
shifts lots of gremlins I'm told ... just not had to do it yet. .

I’ve read this may be an option but might just live with it in case it brings other problems. This is not a major issue that I can definitely live with.. odd though. 2005 Disco3 HSE Auto 😁

Have you tried the spare key set to see if it is the same. If it is then you need a code reader to check the key fobs or the ecu file (CCF)

My guess is that a previous owner has edited the CCF to give one press opening (which I'm 99% sure you can do) but the drivers door lock is being lazy prior to failure. I've had locks that lock ok but needed two or more presses to unlock and ones that won't lock without manual intervention but will happily unlock, replacing the locks has cured problems. Stu

+1 for Oswiperus
In my case on first click - drivers door, on second - the rest and 50% of the cases the front passenger is being lazy and need 3rd click.
In your case - the lazy door is driver one. Replace the door latch and this should fix it. Thanks,

Yeah that's normal.
From memory if you hold both lock and unlock buttons down together for 5 seconds until you hear the locks move, it will change to other behavior
May need to do that with both keys, if you want both to do it.
The idea is to stop hihackers jumping into your car at traffic lights, or as soon as you unlock the car.
It's annoying the boot can't be opened either
