Wheel Alignment Ipswich area |
|
Hi All,
Where would you go for wheel alignment around the Ipswich area or closest to it? I tried kwik-fit, who had a go and said they can't do it for various reasons.

Both Crowfield garage and Ipswich Accident Repair centre have hunter alignment, as does Hanger 111 at Waldringfield.
I have also used Paterson’s accident repair in Felixstowe for the alignment on our D4 only used them as my wife works next door to them.

Thanks, I will give one of those a try.
I was being told they couldn't get access to the camber bolt with the wheel on? I know it's not easy, having done the rear upper control arms myself. I could understand if the bolts were old and seized, but they are about 4 months old and free as a bird!
Kwik fit printout said front's were ok but slightly toe'd out either side (I thought slight toe in is better on the front?).

I suspect it is just Kwik Fit lazy, a little toe out is generally accepted as being stable although I have no idea what the actual spec Land Rover specify mind you.
I have used Crowfield for alignment on my track car and they were very helpful, they are just a bit out the way compared to some of the others I listed.

I'd always go to a garage / crash repair centre that has Hunter alignment equipment. I find this in conjunction with a full roadforce wheel balance can work wonders in improving, wear, economy & ride comfort in a Discovery

Seem to be a few places around Ipswich, worth checking what services they can offer & ask a few probing questions to ensure they understand how to use it. Amazing how many don't!
