Do run flat tyres need special wheels or can I convert to run flat tyres with standard wheels? Pirelli P Zeros list a run flat option.
Doris has form for not stopping and will drive with flat tyres....

Run flats give a terrible ride. Had them on our Mini, hated them.

Iirc run flats have a special lip inside the wheel rim to hold the tyre bead on if there is no air in the carcass.

All wheels since about 1970 have had the 'J' lip to locate tyres, run flats just have a very stiff side wall, capable of supporting the vehicle, without folding on half. Hence the very harsh ride. I would not have run flats out of choiceRichard

Only on Mercedes wheels you have to get tyres with MO on them
Most run flats can be replaced with normal tyres, i have found them too hard a ride and have always done this.
I cant imagine what they would be like on a Discovery
