today, vehicle got up to normal temp, but while stationary or it may of been because of a slight incline the temp gauge read as no temp.
no warnings or lights came up.
Aircon was on at the time.
Anything worth checking? we covered around 100 mile trip with no issue and when guage works it reads normal temp.

Possible connector at the engine block temp sensor or connector behind display panel

I changed the oil temp sensor and all has been fine since, easy to change as well.
