Number 2 is the turbo

I think the actuator arm is in the gap in the middle.
It’s got a ball at each end

I have put it all back together for the time being, I will have a look with the wheel off, my issue is that the heat shield appears to have more bolts than on the guides on here described.

Does anyone know of an online diagram showing the location of the bolts? It nagging at me that I was so close but had to stop.

Which heat shield. There are loads !!

Yeah the turbo one has 2 bolts. One difficult. I don’t think it needs to come off though

The one I listed as no 1 (not on the turbo) I removed one screw from but I couldn't even see the other.

Hopefully it will be easier through the wheel, from the top I just couldn't move the heat shield at all.

No1 is the manifold an EGR shield
You don’t need to remove and can’t without removing EGR
Leave it alone

Bang in the middle of your numbers 1 and 2 is a torx bolt head
This is the Middle of the turbo

Linkage is down the gap in the middle

You need to be a wizard to find that.....

So if I stick I home made hook into that then if I am lucky I should find the part.

Tomorrow I might give it a other go, I will be a master by the end of the week.

Yeah. Firstly you are looking for the moving part when ignition turned on and off.

It’s a common issue so loads of threads on here about it.
There is a thread that shows you how to bend a bit of. Metal to use thru wheel arch to move it
