HELP!!!! - Misjudged Geography!!! |
|
Guys
I appear to have dropped a right b k !!! - bought something up in Cumbria and misjudged distance to South wales.
Appears my geography of england is as bad as Discowex's
Item is 3.6 metres long and is located in Silloth (Carlisle & turn left I think!!),could be strapped to roofbars?.Couriers are not prepared to handle it due to length or want a fortune to do so + they are not a lot of them in Silloth!!!!.
Can anyone offer me assistance???
Cheers

Speak to Interlink they have a special service for oversize items and prices are very cheap.
Worth a try and probably cheaper than fuel and wear and tear from driving there.

Have a go with either of these for cheap courier deals. They are cashing in on the Ebay boom and are very competitive.

Hey guys thanks for the advice - I tried parcel2go.com but the length defeated them. Will give these a try.

When you speak to Interlink they will tell you they can't do it, but ask for the special size team who are on a different number and push them on price.
I have used them for more than a year for our company shipments and they haven't lost, delayed or damaged a parcel yet.

Those addresses trhat I entered have some sort of deal with all the major courier companies (a bit like broadband sharing) so you could have your parcel delivered by Interlink/DHL/Business Post & etc.

Is there a time limit on this, I'm going up to Penrith before the end of March and could get it on the way back but you'd still need to get it from Manchester area?

Hey Iceman
Thanks for the offer - so you will bring it to manchester, presume thats where you are based then?. Perhaps Wiggs may be able to help thereafter if he does Manchester to Port talbot on a regular basis.
Cheers M8
