parking brake

United Kingdom 2005 Discovery 3 TDV6 HSE Auto Zambezi SilverDiscovery 3
parking brake

parking brake goes on ok but is slow to release and the red light flashes the amber stays on and the screen in the dash says parking brake fault . switch off the ignition and restart all lights go out . any ideas ?
