Grey cable behind glove box broken HELP
Hello everyone, this is my first of no doubt many questions.
I have taken out the glovebox to get to passengers side sunroof drain, which leads me to two questions.
Firstly does the fusebox have to come out to see the drain pipe elbow, or am I looking in the wrong place?
Secondly whilst I have the glovebox out, I have found a grey cable that should be connected to somewhere, but I can't see where from. Maybe one of you fine people could take a photo indicating where it should go.
many thanks in advance for your help.

It's supposed to be like that, here's the page from the D3 manual, you'll notice the grey coloured wire that is marked BARE END, circled, that's the one you've found. A bit harder to make out is the end in the Memory Control Module that identifies it as a LIN-BUS GND.
