Replaced front Air Struts with Dunlop brand

Got the Amber suspension light a few weeks a go, but sometimes it would not come on. I did not want to burn out the compressor so I purchased new front air struts. The compressor would come on once in a while when I got in the truck after a day or so. I remembered 2 years ago one of the mechanic sprayed water with soap on the front air struts and told me I had a micro leak on the front passenger air strut. Well I ordered 2 well priced Dunlop front struts and had them changed on Saturday. I have not heard the compressor come on since. Noticed that the Dunlops are softer than the originals when driving through bumps, then read on a forum that Dunlop made the originals...wondering...? The truck is 15 years old with 117K plus miles and I have owned it for 9 plus years. The winter salt they throw on the roads rusts lots of parts on cars here in NY state so probably the rust and weather got to them after all these years.

Dunlop do not make the originals. The originals are made by Delphi.

I have Dunlops front and rear on my RRS. I'm happy with them on the hole, however I did find that the rubber boot on the rear perished prematurely so has been replaced under warranty.

Indeed delphi are the OEM manufacturers..

Edit: i first thought dunlop was original from france, but dunlop is a irish name off course...

On my D2 i replaced a faulty one with a Dunlop... 3 times!....2 left, one right (in 2 years) one simply blew up on the motorway...bang! I think i avoid them in the future 8)

Dunlop suspension components are made in Britain.

They are made by Dunlop Systems and Components in Coventry... https://www.dunlopsystems.com/

Quite a few members on here have used them on D3s and D4s without a problem.
