Hi all
been trawling the forum for LPFP related issues. My D4 2010 refused to start a few weeks back and the AA man put it down to a fuel issue (he managed to start it with some easystart squirted into one of the air intake pipes.
So I've had the tank off yesterday - what a job, did it on the street with the car on axle stands and with the aid of my two wonderful mini-mechanics!
With the tank off, today, I opened it and it looks a whole lot different to the D3 video I found on Youtube as well as other pictures I've seen on the forum.
The biggest difference is I cannot see the gauze/filter? Any ideas anyone? I'm trying to remove the actual pump from the housing but can only turn it - does anyone know how it comes out? I'm planning on replacing just the pump.

Also when I put 12v to the wiring, the pump comes on but doesn't suck any fuel out the tank? it makes a steady humming sound, but that's about it!
