Discovery 4 Rotary Gear selector issues |
|
Hi Guys,
New member here, hope someone can help point me in the right direction.
2013 Discovery 4 has an intermittent issue with the rotary gear selector either being slow to raise or lower itself or not sure of whether it's going up or down, usually upon starting the vehicle.
We've carried out diagnostic checks and no codes in the gear selector module but there are 3 codes in the Traction Control Module:
B1087-64 LIN Bus A - signal plausibility failure
U0404-64 Invalid data received from gearshift control module - signal plausibility failure
U101B-87 Lost communication with GSM - Multiple Bus - Missing message
Any ideas on where or what to look for?
Might it need a software update?
Cheers,
Daryl.

Hi Daryl,
Welcome, to the forum! PMs are restricted as you can only send them over a certain number of posts, cant remember how many it is (might be 3) but as its due to the number of posts you have done, I thought I would let you know.
If you were a bit nearer I could have loaned you a control to try to see if the problem goes away as I have a spare.
If you don't have an armrest fridge its worth checking on ebay for a complete centre console with one in it - I bought one on there for not much more and it had an armrest fridge, lid and all of the USB connectors etc as well as the console with the rotary control etc.
Must stop buying shiny toys....
