Hi all. Absolutely brand new Discovery 3 Owner so please be gentle.
Ive just bought a 55 plate 2.7 V6 and it needs a few bits doing to it to get it roadworthy. One of the priorities is new disks and pads on the front and was wondering what would be a good ball park figure i should be looking for? Do I take it to the local land rover specialist and risk paying more or will a normal garage use the same products and quote me cheaper?
I don't have the ability or tools to do it myself at the moment.

Welcome Gary
I wouldn't consider a JLR franchisee in your circumstances.
I would prefer an independent which specialises in Land Rovers, not a "general" garage.
The LR Indy is likely to be competitive in price, and in my experience offer a better & more knowledgeable service.
Good luck; and let us know how you get on.

Thanks for the Advice NJSS.
Got it booked in at the local Land Rover specialists, Green Bros Littlebrough.
£230 for upgraded disks, Pads and sensors.

Just as a comparison,
Fixed price servicing at the closest LR main dealer to me at the moment is £275 for front discs, pads and sensor.
The next bit is just my opinion, but I've yet to find anything that I'd consider an upgrade on the genuine parts.
I have no opinion to share on whether I trust an indy more than I trust LR Long succession of Disco's since 2001...
