Most effective yet discrete tree/rock slides - help
Hi chaps,
Following this photo:

it is pretty clear that some sort of sill protection is a must.
Now, for reasons no sane person understands, in Serbia you cannot pass MOT with any aftermarket mod. It goes so far that people with for example a new Mini Cooper are asked to take off the factory fitted fog lamps as the MOT idiots think they're an aftermarket mod.
So sliders but as discrete as they go are the only option and so far i managed to find these that might just work - i'd hate to take them off and on again for the yearly MOT
1) Terrafirma rock & tree slides - seem to be the narrowest ones available with the tube sticking out on the side - as for the MOT i'd be pushing it quite a bit, but might in theory pass

2) Prospeed rock slides - seem sturdy and well hidden, no tubes sticking out, i'd imagine limited lower door protection

3) These "slides" made of 6mm aluminium, most discreet, but would question their effectiveness..

what's your thoughts, experience, opinions - what would be best purchase providing best protection?
Many thanks!

I have Terrafirma tree bars installed.
They look good and you only notice it if you‘re looking for them.
Cons: With rear aircon you need to modify and cut them to fit - there’s a thread about it somewhere. And since they stick out just a little bit (but not far enough to use them as side steps) you may get dirty pants. And they‘re heavy.
Prospeed also do tree bars. They are quite a bit wider, which is IMHO a good thing. You can use them as side steps.
I love my TF tree bars but these Prospeed sill rock slides seem sturdy enough and do look fantastic.

Holy moly your car looks stupid good!!!
Thanks very much for the tip!
I am leaning towards TF, thinking that it provides better protection than the Prospeed rock sliders...
I get that the wider the better, but to be honest without a full on off-road kit, it looks a bit out of place - especially since the one i got is getting much more daily road use and it's in the "more elegant" trim with arches in body colour rather than more sturdy looking black plastic...
