Yellow air suspension light on. FIXED |
|
So I bought another D3 today , this one with a few issues, one being the air suspension inactive and yellow light on. Although the car was sitting at the right height it wouldn’t go up or down. Neither was the hill decent button or any of the switches for that matter.
When I got home I swapped the switch unit from my other D3 and everything worked 100%.....to clarify to myself I plugged in the faulty switch unit into my good D3 and the suspension problems happened in this car.
Proof then that the switch unit is faulty...I took it indoors and took it apart and found it was covered in dried sticky coffee or coke or something.....I took every component apart, cleaned, dried and replaced and reinstalled. No more problems. Every function works correctly.
If yours is playing up,then it’s certainly worth pulling it out and giving it a clean first.

Nice simple fix! Handy to be able to swap parts to test.
I believe coffee/coke etc has caused this sort of problem before especially on the D4 8speed gear rotary gear knob. Stu
