What does your dashboard say the outside temp is?

Not sure on the LR, but Iirc some motors have two engine temp sensors, 1 for the dash gauge amd the other for the engine ecu.

I noticed mine doing this a few weeks ago, then it stopped doing it.
Can't see any negatives, it'll keep the FBH working so no issues when the cold does come, and will reduce the time it takes for the car to warm up, win win I say.

Your right except if your doing hard slow work you have your fbh making heat ad your radiator and fan trying to get rid of the heat at the expense of your /my diesel.
I still think the fbh has some sort of thermostat or temp sensors anybody know? And where are they in the fbh.

They are there, but in my opinion can not trigger startup, as they are not wired and controlled for this (as far as i know...) never seen it that way...
the webasto tempsensors are for safety (over heating) and to measure the temp for controlling the "load" needed for heating...
the temp trigger is outside the webasto FBH... on universal one's an external on/of temp switch, on a LR controled by the Aircon/controller/ECU, etc.. they give it the signal to startup in case of temperature Best regards

Read live values under fbh and engine
Look At all the temps with engine off

I suggest not to focus on the FBH but on the aircon related parts... they trigger the FBH normally..
Any fault code’s on the aircon parts? Body ecu and or intrumentpack Ecu i think?
Since the trigger goes by a CAN signal... can be caused by some totally different item although (something , like a lamp, or switch etc. On a totally different place in your motor acts as a startup signal) Best regards

In my previous post I said mine did it and then stopped. Reading the above couple of posts and it reminded me that I had my a/c recharged and it all stopped after that.
Hope this helps.
