HDC, transmission and brake fault
Hello everyone,
I've had my LR3 for 2 weeks and problems started arising.
Already fixed a leak that came from the A pillar.
Yesterday I was driving around at low speed, suddenly HDC fault popped in dash followed by other lights including brake light. More faults also appeared Transmission Fault and Lowered Suspension. I drove back home without problem. After doing research went back to check the battery voltage, Battery gives 12.6 volts with vehicle off and 13.9 with vehicle running. I understand this is kind of low, now Im wondering if this is an issue with the battery or the alternator. any guidance to figure out if my alternator is working properly?
Any advice is welcomed.

Your first port of call might be to place the battery on charge as a poor state of charge can cause these errors. That said its possible it might be something else!
You should seriously consider buying your own diagnostic tool as you are going to need it, especially if you intend to maintain the car yourself. It will pay for itself very quickly and the most recommended on here seems to be GAP IID bluetooth.
They often come up for sale on here second hand for around £300 which is another bonus should you decide to move the car on in the future.yµ (idµ - eAµ) ψ=mψ

+1 on that. Codes give a lot of guidance on what maybe wrong but as said, sounds very much like a power problem or the connector behind the battery box which can suffer from corrosion.

Anyone got a picture of said connector, is this the one on the base of the battery box?

I think Globetrotter was referring to the modules behind the battery box as these can suffer water ingress if not secured properly. You need to remove the battery to access the connectors. (Make sure you allow the car to go to sleep before disconnecting the battery!)
You would be much better off in the first instance by having a diagnostic test done. Otherwise you will be chasing your tail!!yµ (idµ - eAµ) ψ=mψ

Codes are vital to try to point in the right direction as said before otherwise its a bit of a big target to hit a problem. There are a series of common issues that can cause errors on the car such as the brake switch, tail light bulbs, the steering angle sensor ring being loose and many others so really codes first with a dedicated reader - Ideally an IID but any with specific LR capabilities will narrow things down
Good Luck though Must stop buying shiny toys....

I had similar error messages and the fault code was P0087 low fuel pressure. Switching off and re-starting the engine clears the fault - until the next time!
Still trying to find the fault after changing the pump in the tank. I am now homing in on the fuel filter which was changed shortly before the fault occurred for the first time.
See my other post and all the related stuff about HPFP and LPFP diagnosis.
check your brake bulbs if i used cheep ones when they broke they would do this but would always reset on re starting the car, also as said before check the brake switch after i did these mine was sortedRange Rover Westminster 4.4 TDV8 what a car
