| 2010 D4 - fog lights on = driver side tail lights off |

First time tonight driving in heavy fog so had my fog lights on at the rear. It was only as I parked up with the engine running and went to the boot that I realised the fog lights were on but the driver's side tail lights were off.
I switched the dogs off and the tail lights came back on but every time the fog.lights went on the tail lights on the driver's side only went out.
Brake lights work fine regardless of fog lights on or off.
Any suggestions on how to troubleshoot this?
