Spare wheel protection plate D3 |
|
Hi,
Just wonder if the original slotted spare wheel protection plate from D4 fits D3?
Or any other suggestions for protection plate?

tye slotted "plate" on the D4's with adblue is just plastic, so wont protect anything.

Bobo, I believe the part you are referring to is LR078960
This part is described by Land Rover as spare wheel protector for D4 with adblue. It is plastic with a metal winch turret in the middle.
To use this you need the spare wheel winch for D4 with adblue which is a different winch to that fitted to the D3
The LR078960 does not give any protection to the spare wheel from being stolen.
If you want to protect your spare wheel from being stolen you will need what is colloquially know as a Uncle Ray's protector

Bobo, as a matter of interest do you know a Canadian called Todd or a doctor called Johannas both used to be active in the SLRK. I know Todd is still active with his series, not sure about Johannas.
