Cruise control and other acc not activating with IID tool
Two days ago I received my new IID Tool. And was very excited to finally sort out a few issues namely the EPB, now fixed, turning off of the irritating pinging of the key in alarm (Won’t deactivate) turning on the clock within the vehicle display (working) activating the 3 flash on the indicators (working) however I now seem to have hit a wall with the cruise control.
I have set the steering controls to resistive 1.
Set the cruise control to fitted.
All through the mobile app.
I believe the cruise control buttons are working as I can also use them to interact with the IID tool and have tested to ensure the cruise control light illuminates.
So is there something else that I need to be doing?

Interesting I wasn’t even aware that there were different brake light switches. I should’ve mentioned that my vehicle is a base model seven seat. I guess I will have to check this outI now have a IID tool if anyone needs some assistance around the Stafford area.

Yeah definitely worth a look, I’ve still got the old loom so I can test it but I’m pretty sure that it is working as I could scroll through the settings with the IID tool pluggedI now have a IID tool if anyone needs some assistance around the Stafford area.

Strangely today the cruise control is now working. I have no idea what the glitch was but after repeatedly pressing the buttons (out of annoyance of it not working more than anything) it decided it was going to work, so I will accept this as a win I now have a IID tool if anyone needs some assistance around the Stafford area.

Hi I was told you leave the car locked for a bout 1/2 hour after using the tool (gap)
and it resets the cpu and it works👍

It helps to wait till the car goes to sleep, some work striaght off and others need to sleep before they work..

I have the same problem.
My IIDControl doesn’t see it, nothing in the ECU but....
It works
No problems with it. It does as it should just, the Gap tool doesn’t see it at all

Enable Cruise Control - retrofitted CC steering wheel
I've bought myself the IID Tool, created an account, linked to the VIN of my D3 and gone through many settings/options. Found two likely options in "Instrument Pack", one referring to CC and the other Cruise Control. Neither will allow to be enabled.
I'm very new to this area of DIY. Any guidance from previous experience?
