United Kingdom 2016 Discovery 4 3.0 TDV6 Landmark LE Auto Santorini BlackDiscovery 4

The Vreds are cold weather/winter tyres. They'll have a high silica content to keep them soft in low temperatures. Once the temperature rises, they'll get chewed up and wear much faster and as you say, the heavy weight of the Disco won't help.

I used to get 50k miles out of a set of 18" and 19" ATR's with 3mm left. Although much of that was motorway miles.

I look forward to hearing about the AT+'s. Thumbs Up

Not been far but they are much more supportive than the old vredestein wintracs. Wife says they're a bit noisier (I'm guessing that means a lot if she's noticed - with all due respect 🤣) A bit of noise is worth it for these looks!

Well.... I bought the set of AT+ for my 19” wheels, Then thought about modular wheels turns out they’re not available in 19s, a complete set of new 18” wheels and tyres were out of my price range then stumbled across a second hand set with BFG all terrains on man maths are currently working overtime to justify them!!

Been using these for 12 months, great for the lanes in Devon. Used off road, but only really started to fail in serious mud Rolling Eyes Excellent on snow, coped with the Alps this winter Thumbs Up
Great all round tyre - unless you like deep mud...

In fairness, most ATs will struggle with proper mud. I've used Pirelli ATR, Grabber AT, Grabber AT3 and PIrelli AT+ and all will struggle if it's properly muddy. Never got fully stuck requiring a recovery, but definitely had a couple of "oh Censored " moments.
