D4 headlights
Hi guys
I have a 2012 D4 with xenon headlights
I am thinking of upgrading to signature headlights DRLs
I have an IID tool which I know I need to switch DRLs on
My question is can I put signature/ active cornering headlights on my D4, would it just be plug and play or is there a lot more work involved with this?

Afs also requires the module if not already installed I believe. Also maybe check that the wiring is there.

Are you updating the older Xenons with fairy lights to the newer type?
If so, don't you need a different front bumper / grill as well? Im not sure myself, but raising the question so someone who knows for sure can confirm either way.

Hi
All depends on what headlights you buy there are AFS Xenon and Non AFS Xenon the AFS Xenon has beams that move with the steering wheel and non AFS has fixed beams
I have a set of each and currently have the non AFS ones fitted - these still have cornering lamps that I have enabled with the IID and Signature DRL Lamps
You have to get GAP to give you access to the untested config menu though as you need to swap one of the settings to tell the car there is no seperate main beam fitted as on the later lights the dip and main beam change is only done with a shutter rather than with additional lamp for main beam.
You will also need to change the grille as its a different shape around the lights and there is a gap that you might want to buy a trim for below as there is a difference in the top edge of the early and later (MY13.5) model front bumpers.
Good Luck!
Must stop buying shiny toys....
