Voss connectors
Hi
Has anyone found a cheaper voss connector as the ones I’ve found are £14 each!! Seems a lot for something that should really be about £2-3 ! Especially when the book says you should replace with new every time you remove one off a valve block or compressor
Or has anyone used an alternative like the push fit type?
Cheers
Lee

I heard that
used brass pushfits in place of the voss connectors , have to make sure the pipe is clean and no digs in it, along with a few wraps of PTFE on the threads , have them fitted on compressor , struts, valve blocks and air tank

Cheers for that
Yeah there the ones I was thinking about, can’t understand how they justify £14 for the voss ones!
I assume the other ones like that but with a plastic collar do the same job? If so I might be able to “borrow “ some from work

Hiya
Ur very welcome and indeed like ur goodself wasn’t prepared to pay that for the voss connectors
Just have to ensure the plastic pipe is smooth and a little bit of PTFE for the threads
That’s handy then if u can get them from work, got the brass ones as I didn’t want to use the plastic collar type , doubt there’s anything wrong with them but just thought the brass ones would be sturdier and last longer

Pleased it helped and as always ur so welcome , indeed a lot cheaper than voss connectors , plus ur find them alot easier to install
If I may add plse, just need a few turns of PTFE on the threads , just ensure the pipe is cut off squarely and there are no ruff edges on the side of the pipe that’s going to be installed into the pushfit , emery cloth works well
Thin smear of Silicone grease is also good , helps installation and not pushing the O ring in, if u put the pipe next to the fitting ur see how deep it goes in, , can put a marker onto the pipe so when u push it in ur know it’s fully home
Lastly bubble test the joints after , Plse let us know how u get on
