A New Friend in the driveway
After the drama of seeing the D3 taken away by the insurance company and running around in hire cars for a few weeks whilst it was all sorted I had decided to look again at other Marques and realised they just weren't a Disco, and really didnt do what I wanted from a daily driver.
I had a BMW a Merc an Audi a Disco Sport and Even a D5 and every time it just wasnt right 110% like the first time I drove a D3.
So I bought my D3 back from the insurance company and bought new Throttle body and Cam covers and got them on it to replace the Heat damaged ones from the faulty EGR.
Then decided to keep the D3 for all of the dirty stuff and to leave in Airport car parks etc and have bought it a playmate...

Its a 2013 model HSE with full JLR service history.
So far just put some Facelift Headlights front grill and back lights onto it and about to put some facelift indicators onto it and 20" rims tomorrow if the weather stays good and SWMBO doesnt have other plans..
It has some of the Genuine lower DRLs fitted and they have decided to stop working for some reason so also need to take a look at what has caused that, although the headlights I have fitted have DRLs so might be a bit of an unnecessary item.

Having recently switched the D3 over to a more standard look with regular rear lights 19" rims again and standard grille Im now debating what my plan is for it..Must stop buying shiny toys....

I really dislike side steps and of course there is also the fact that they help rot the sills, so my mum and mother in law ( 85 & 87) get a little helpful shove up into the D3 or D4.
I do have a pair that I removed when I got the D3 in 2009 but they will only go back on as a last resort!Stu

Nice brace of Disco's
If you're fitting side steps to your D4, I would be interested in your side tubes (if they're black & oem)....... always on the road less travelled 🚧
< ‘tis but a mere scratch …….. it’ll polish out.

Wouldn’t choose to put the steps on but anything for a quiet life
They are stainless but not sure if they are OEM ones
Unfortunately the good weather couldn’t be used to do anything with the car this morning as SWMBO had other plans!Must stop buying shiny toys....

Double the pain and double the fun. Not forgetting double the LRIP, Land Rover Induced Poverty.
